Bihar Police Constable Physical Test Details

The recruitment process for Bihar Police Constable is currently underway. The written examination is being conducted, and the next crucial stage will be the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

This PET is a decisive part of the selection process and includes activities such as running, high jump, and shot put. The final merit list will be based on candidates' performance in this stage. Failing to meet the minimum criteria in any PET event will result in disqualification.

Special Guidelines for Female Candidates

Candidates who clear the written test will be called for the PET in a specific selection ratio. To qualify, candidates must pass each of the three events (running, high jump, and shot put) individually. No relaxation will be granted in minimum criteria. Female candidates must also declare that they are not pregnant before appearing for the PET. Pregnant candidates will not be allowed to participate.

Running – Maximum 50 Marks

Male (1.6 km):

Under 5 minutes: 50 marks

5 to 5 min 20 sec: 40 marks

5 min 20 sec to 5 min 40 sec: 30 marks

5 min 40 sec to 6 minutes: 20 marks

More than 6 minutes: Fail

Female (1 km):

Under 4 minutes: 50 marks

4 to 4 min 20 sec: 40 marks

4 min 20 sec to 4 min 40 sec: 30 marks

4 min 40 sec to 5 minutes: 20 marks

More than 5 minutes: Fail

Shot Put – Maximum 25 Marks

Male (16 lbs shot):

16–17 ft: 9 marks

17–18 ft: 13 marks

18–19 ft: 17 marks

19–20 ft: 21 marks

Over 20 ft: 25 marks

Below 16 ft: Fail

Female (12 lbs shot):

12–13 ft: 9 marks

13–14 ft: 13 marks

14–15 ft: 17 marks

15–16 ft: 21 marks

Over 16 ft: 25 marks

Below 12 ft: Fail

High Jump – Maximum 25 Marks

Male (minimum 4 ft):

4 ft: 13 marks

4 ft 4 in: 17 marks

4 ft 8 in: 21 marks

5 ft: 25 marks

Below 4 ft: Fail

Female (minimum 3 ft):

3 ft: 13 marks

3 ft 4 in: 17 marks

3 ft 8 in: 21 marks

4 ft: 25 marks

Below 3 ft: Fail

Attempts and Time Limits

Candidates must complete the race within the given time. Male candidates taking more than 6 minutes and female candidates taking more than 5 minutes will be disqualified and not allowed to attempt other events. A maximum of three attempts will be allowed for high jump and shot put. Candidates must qualify in all three events separately.

Document Verification after PET

Candidates who qualify the PET will be called for document verification. They must produce original certificates related to identity, education, and reservation. Failure to provide valid documents may lead to cancellation of candidature.

Identity proof: Aadhar card, voter ID, or driving license

Educational certificates:

10th certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)

12th certificate and mark sheet

Caste and reservation certificates:

SC/ST: Caste certificate

BC/EBC: Caste certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
