67th NASA India Convention 'EXCLAIM' Concludes in Grandeur at IPS Academy, Indore

The 67th Annual Convention of NASA India (EXCLAIM) concluded with remarkable elegance at the School of Architecture, IPS Academy, celebrating three days of architectural excellence, innovation, and student leadership. The event brought together hundreds of architecture students, faculty, and professionals from institutions across India.

Inspiring Kickoff with a Focus on Social Responsibility

The convention began with a thought-provoking address by Ar. Jitendra Mehta of Mehta & Associates, who emphasized the role of architecture as a force for social good and the need for sustainable, innovative design. The opening ceremony also featured a tree plantation drive, led by Ar. Naman Shrotriya, reflecting the gathering's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Live Jury Sessions and Prestigious Trophies

A major highlight was the live jury presentations for the GRIHA Trophy and the Student of the Year (SOTY) Trophy, which saw enthusiastic participation and critical evaluation by renowned architects and academics from across the country.

Christopher Benninger Gold Medal Launched

The convention's emotional crescendo came during the closing ceremony, where Mr. Ram Prasad Akkisetti, Co-founder and MD of CCBA (Christopher Charles Benninger Architects), delivered a moving keynote. He underscored the value of humility, gratitude, and the transformative power of architecture, telling students, “You are the beauty and energy of this profession.”

Mr. Akkisetti unveiled the inaugural Christopher Benninger Gold Medal, awarded to Kiruthika from SPA Delhi, in recognition of her excellence in national architectural competitions. “This medal,” he said, “is not just an award but a lifelong reminder of your passion and perseverance.” Quoting Prof. Benninger, he reminded the audience, “Our parents are a debt we carry,” urging students to stay grounded.

Recognition and Triumph for IPS Academy

The event was capped with pride as IPS Academy’s School of Architecture received the Citation Award for the prestigious HUDCO Trophy, acknowledging the institution’s excellence. Dr. Manita Saxena, Principal of SOA, expressed deep pride in the achievement, applauding the dedication of the students. Architect Achal Chaudhary, Chairman of IPS Academy, also extended heartfelt congratulations.

Flawless Coordination and Execution

The success of the convention was credited to the meticulous planning and execution by faculty coordinators Ar. Kamini Badnore and Ar. Prateek Ahirwar, who ensured every detail was handled seamlessly.

With over 66,000 active members, NASA India continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of architects. This year's convention reaffirmed the strength, creativity, and spirit of India’s architectural student community — a symbol of hope for the nation's future.
