Lakshmi Puri defamation case: Delhi HC rejects Saket Gokhale's apology

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday declined to accept the written apology submitted by TMC MP Saket Gokhale in a defamation case involving his alleged remarks against former diplomat Lakshmi Murdeshwar Puri.

A division bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Renu Bhatnagar was hearing Gokhale’s appeal against a July 1, 2024, single-judge order that barred him from making further social media or online statements targeting Puri.
