India Beat England by 6 Runs: Smallest Test Wins by Run Margin Full List

India pulled off a dramatic six-run win against England in the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval, marking their narrowest ever victory by runs in Test cricket. The match ended with England being bowled out for 367 while chasing 374, leveling the five-match series 2-2.

Heading into the final day, England needed just 35 runs with four wickets in hand, while India required a near-perfect bowling performance. Jamie Overton gave England early hope with two boundaries in the opening over, reducing the target to just 27.

However, India fought back fiercely. Mohammed Siraj broke the momentum by dismissing overnight batter Jamie Smith, then struck again by trapping Overton LBW. Prasidh Krishna chipped in by bowling out Josh Tongue, and Siraj sealed the game by removing Gus Atkinson, sparking celebrations among the Indian camp.

It was a gritty team effort and a masterclass in pressure bowling, handing India not only a series-leveling win but also a place in the list of the smallest run-margin victories in Test history.
