A pilot project for autonomous UPI payments on ChatGPT is launched by Razorpay and NPCI

OpenAI has partnered with Razorpay and the National Payments Corporation of India to offer AI-powered UPI payments on ChatGPT. In a statement, the firms stated that the goal is to execute UPI transactions "in a safe, secure, and user-controlled manner" on behalf of ChatGPT customers. The trial project's banking partners include Airtel Payments Bank and Axis Bank. Bigbasket was one of the first sites to let users shop via ChatGPT.

In the release, OpenAI's MD of international strategy, Oliver Jay, stated, "We are thrilled to collaborate with NPCI and investigate how we can integrate AI with UPI to unlock a new era of effortless and secure commerce."
