CS Setty is chosen as the new chairman of the IBA.

On March 28, 2025, CS Setty, the Chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), was elected as the new Chairman of the Indian Banks' Association (IBA).

This decision was made during a meeting of the IBA's managing committee, where Setty will lead until the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Alongside him, three deputy chairpersons were elected: A Manimekhalai from Union Bank of India, Swarup Kumar Saha from Punjab & Sind Bank, and Madhav Nair from Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait.

Additionally, B Ramesh Babu from Karur Vysya Bank was appointed as the honorary secretary of the association.

This election marks a significant moment in banking leadership, as Setty takes on a pivotal role in representing the interests of the banking sector in India.
