'Avengers: Doomsday' Will See the Return of One of the MCU's Doomed Villains
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Avengers: Doomsday, set to release on May 1, 2026, has confirmed the return of Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the underwater king who debuted in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Namor's reappearance is significant, as he will share the screen with iconic MCU heroes like Thor, Ant-Man, and Captain America, while also reuniting with Letitia Wright’s Shuri (Black Panther).
The film will also feature the Fantastic Four—Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and likely Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn as Reed and Johnny Storm respectively—marking their major integration into the MCU.
With Doctor Doom as the titular villain, the movie promises to explore Namor's comic-book history with the Fantastic Four, including his romantic rivalry with Reed Richards over Sue Storm.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Doomsday is poised to be a blockbuster crossover event for Marvel fans.
