Demon Slayer confirms release date for Infinity Castle arc movies

Mark your calendars! After a long wait, the creative team behind the Demon Slayer anime franchise have announced when the Infinity Castle arc will begin. This hotly anticipated movie trilogy will act as a direct sequel to the anime show's fourth season, which aired in 2024.

Premiering in 2019, Demon Slayer currently consists of four TV seasons and a movie that fits between seasons 1 and 2. A movie so popular, incidentally, that it's Japan's highest-grossing film of all time.

The franchise may replicate that box office success in 2025, because instead of airing a conventional fifth season, Demon Slayer will embark on a new movie trilogy. These three films will cover the Infinity Castle arc from the original Demon Slayer manga by writer and artist Koyoharu Gotouge.
