"Houthi small group": Leading Officials from the Trump administration "accidentally" provide journalists the military plans for Yemen.

The White House recently faced a significant security breach when it accidentally added a journalist, Jeffrey Goldberg, to a private Signal chat group discussing secret US military plans for strikes against the Houthi armed group in Yemen.

The chat included senior officials such as Vice President JD Vance, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Despite Signal being encrypted, it is not approved for sharing classified information, raising concerns about the handling of sensitive data.

The leak revealed discussions on imminent strikes and frustration over US responsibilities in defending global shipping routes.

The incident has sparked outrage among security experts and politicians, with calls for an immediate investigation into how such a mistake occurred and whether it could happen again.
