Is the Third World War imminent? Following a Russian missile strike, 27 nations and 450 million people were warned.
The European Union has issued a warning to its 450 million citizens to prepare for a potential World War-like scenario following heightened tensions with Russia after a missile strike on Ukraine's Sumy region that killed dozens.
Citizens were advised to stockpile essential supplies, including food and water, for at least 72 hours. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte emphasized the alliance's readiness to respond decisively to any attack on member nations, particularly Poland, with devastating force.
The EU's Preparedness and Crisis Management Commissioner highlighted the increasing complexity of threats facing Europe, while Rutte warned of Russia's capacity for further aggression by 2030, noting its shift toward a wartime economy to bolster military capabilities.
Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of manipulations and threats during negotiations, further intensifying global concerns over Russia's actions in Europe and beyond.
