Atishi questions Delhi govt's projected ₹1 lakh crore income: ‘Hawa Hawai budget’

In the lack of a pre-Budget economic report, Atishi, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, expressed worries on Friday about economic projections and claimed that the Delhi government budget is "hawa hawai."

"The BJP administration in Delhi does not and cannot earn one lakh crore rupees a year...We believed the BJP government was concealing something when the Economic Survey was not presented to the House the day before the budget was presented. The 70-year-old parliamentary custom of the BJP not presenting the Economic Survey was broken. The BJP had previously made false promises, but it has now begun to do so with regard to the budget as well. Atishi at a news conference in the nation's capital declared, "It is a hawa hawai budget."

During the discussion on March 27, LoP Atishi commended the Chief Minister for her comments on Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and the Budget. She stated: "There is Ali in Diwali and Ram in Ramzan."
