The BJP wins nine out of ten local elections in Haryana, while the Congress loses in Hooda Bastion.

After the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party won elections for nine of ten mayoral positions, including in Gurugram and Rohtak, the home of Bhupinder Hooda, one of the opposition party's top state leaders, the Congress fell to a second consecutive electoral defeat in Haryana.


 The tenth, Manesar, was won by an independent candidate, Dr. Inderjit Yadav, a rebellious BJP leader.
