Abhishek's record knock takes IND to 247/9 in 20 overs

India vs England 5th T20I LIVE SCORE: Abhishek Sharma's colossal knock powered India to a mammoth 247/9 in 20 overs. Abhishek nearly carried his bat all the way through as he fell in the 18th over with 135 runs to his name off just 54 balls. Shivam Dube seemed to have just picked up from where he left off in the fourth T20I and joined the carnage led by Abhishek Sharma at the Wankhede.

However, he ended up falling for 30 off 13 balls in the 14th over against Brydon Carse, who has been the only England bowler who has got some semblance of success.

Abhishek raced past his century in 37 balls and he has continued going big guns. He earlier brought up India's 100 in just the seventh over as Abhishek and Tilak Varma put up a partnership of 115 runs off just 43 balls for the second wicket. Abhishek raced past fifty in just 17 balls. England captain Jos Buttler won the toss for a second consecutive time in the series and chose to bowl first. He also took a little jab at the concussion fiasco in the previous match by saying that England have got “four impact subs”. The visitors were left seething and fuming at the end of the fourth T20I, largely due to Harshit Rana being allowed in as a concussion substitute to Shivam Dube. However, they would also have known that it was a match that they let slip out of their hands quite spectacularly. They may have lost the series but India would know that the wounded English side would be raring to have a go at them once again at the Wankhede Stadium
