Apple has introduced the new MacBook Air with the M4 chip on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. This comes after the launch of the iPad Air with the M3 chip on March 4. Apple says that the latest MacBook Air gets up to 18 hours of battery life, a 12 MP center stage camera, and enhanced external display support.
There are two sizes available: 13 and 15 inches. Its M4 processor is up to two times quicker than the M1 model thanks to its 10-core CPU, up to 10-core GPU, and compatibility for up to 32GB of unified memory. Along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, it has Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E. The audio setup has support for Spatial Audio along with Dolby Atmos and comes with a three-mic array.
Additionally, it has 16 GB of initial unified memory, macOS Sequoia with Apple Intelligence, and compatibility for up to two external screens. Apple has incorporated ChatGPT, which is free and account-free, into Writing Tools and Siri.
