
IT, telecom, and energy firms rise the highest as the stock market recovers its losses.

On Wednesday, March 5, the stock market started the trading session in the green, with the largest gains coming from mid and small-cap IT and telecom, oil and gas, and larger-cap IT firms. The benchmark BSE Sensex increased 182.24 points, or 0.25 percent, to 73,172.17 at 9:20 a.m. At 22,132.45, the wider NSE Nifty began trading 49.80 points higher, or 0.23 percent higher.
On the other hand, when Trump's tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China went into force yesterday, the market was down. Power Grid Corporation of India opened at ₹260.80, up 2.66 percent, the highest of the 30 Sensex equities. Following this were HCL Technologies, up 1.57 percent, trading at ₹1560, and Mahindra & Mahindra, up 2.65 percent, trading at ₹2683.40.
At ₹1,534.05, HCL Technologies, on the other hand, was down 2.47 percent, the second-most since yesterday's opening. Twelve stocks in the Sensex were down
