To aid those who have lost track of their previous mutual fund investments investments and wish to retrieve their money, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched an assistant. Because investors could register mutual fund accounts before 2006 without a permanent account number (PAN), the Mutual Fund Investment Tracing and Retrieval Assistant (Mitra) tool was introduced. As a result, the online portals no longer display it.
