An official announced on Sunday that 50 indigenous students, primarily women, will receive preliminary pilot training from the Odisha government to prepare them for the professional course. The Odisha government's Commerce and Transport Department recently put out a call for bids to select a qualified organization to conduct the training.
According to the tender document, at least 300 tribal kids would be identified by the government through the chosen private agency, and 50 of them will be shortlisted for the preparatory training after undergoing a thorough screening process. According to him, the coaching is intended to help the candidates pass the cadet pilot assessment, get them ready for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation's (DGCA) basic foundation program syllabus, and provide an outline of the flying training course.
