IndiGo Connects Mumbai to Madinah Daily

IndiGo, India’s largest airline by passenger traffic, has announced that it will operate daily direct flights between Mumbai and Madinah starting November 15, 2025. The airline plans to deploy Airbus A320 aircraft on this route, which marks an expansion of its services to Saudi Arabia just ahead of the upcoming Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage season. Travelers can book flights online, through travel agents, and at airport counters, ensuring seamless connectivity for Indian pilgrims and business travelers alike.

The flight schedule has been carefully structured to cater to both convenience and efficient turnaround. Flight 6E 0059 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai at 10:05 pm, arriving at Madinah Airport at 1:10 am the following day. The return service, Flight 6E 0060, will depart Madinah at 9:50 pm, reaching Mumbai at 4:00 am, providing travelers with an overnight journey that maximizes their time at both ends of the trip. IndiGo’s spokesperson emphasized that the airline is committed to offering a comfortable, affordable, and reliable travel experience, highlighting that the flights will feature the airline’s standard economy class service and customer-friendly in-flight amenities.

The launch of the Mumbai–Madinah route comes amid increasing demand for direct air connectivity to Saudi Arabia, especially for pilgrims seeking faster, hassle-free travel options for religious purposes. Previously, travelers often relied on connecting flights through Middle Eastern hubs, which added time, cost, and logistical complexity. IndiGo’s direct flights aim to streamline travel, reduce layover times, and enhance convenience for both Hajj pilgrims and frequent flyers visiting Madinah for religious, business, or tourism purposes.

Overall, the launch of the Mumbai–Madinah direct flights is a significant development for Indian aviation, pilgrimage logistics, and international connectivity. With bookings open ahead of Choti Diwali and the Hajj season, travelers are advised to plan early to secure preferred flight dates, enjoy competitive fares, and ensure seamless travel experiences to one of Islam’s holiest cities.
