On Thursday, March 13, a senior Kremlin official stated that Kyiv would mainly gain from the 30-day ceasefire that the US had suggested and Ukraine had accepted by providing its forces with a "temporary break." The comments were made the day after speaking with Mike Waltz, the national security adviser for the White House.
The interim truce suggested by the United States would provide a “temporary break for the Ukrainian military,” according to Yuri Ushakov, the foreign policy adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
