China has retaliated with penalties and restrictions on American goods and firms after the Trump administration increased tariffs on Chinese imports.

Although he cautioned that there are "no winners in a trade war," China's commerce minister Wang Wentao stated on Thursday that his nation will not bow to pressure and can tolerate greater US tariffs.
