Donald Trump promises a "liberating day for the US" and is adamant about the April 2 reciprocal tariff proposal.

“Very, very foolish presidents gave away their wealth because they had no clue what they were doing,” Trump claimed, adding that he is reclaiming part of it.

Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has no plans to establish exemptions from steel and aluminum tariffs and that sectoral tariffs and reciprocal tariffs on US trading partners will be implemented on April 2.

Under reciprocal tariffs, the Trump administration would set tariff rates on goods entering the US based on a computation that takes into account the tariffs and non-tariff barriers that American exports encounter abroad.
