"Gunmen shot them all." A detailed account of the horrific train hijacking in Balochistan, Pakistan
By : Sandhya
Officials reported Wednesday that all 440 passengers were rescued after terrorists from the Baloch Liberation Army ambushed a passenger train in restive southern Pakistan, killing 21 hostages before security forces killed all 33 attackers.
Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan's communication minister, said that the attack was carried out by the separatist Baloch Liberation Army, or BLA, and that the military action "has successfully reached its logical conclusion."
He commended the military for "averting a potential catastrophe" and stated that no passengers were killed during the operation. Sarfraz Bugti, the chief minister of the province, informed a provincial assembly that all of the militants engaged had been slain by the troops.
