‘Not the time for war’: PM Modi's advice to Putin, ‘brother’ Zelensky

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed his belief that negotiation is the only practical way to end the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine during an interview with the Lex Fridman podcast.
Modi urged Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to hold direct talks, stressing that military triumphs would not result in a permanent settlement, while speaking to prominent host and MIT research scientist Lex Fridman.
According to PM Modi, "I have a close relationship with Russia and Ukraine alike," "I can agree with President Putin that war is not necessary at this time. Additionally, I can politely inform President Zelensky that no matter how many people support you globally, a settlement will never be reached on the battlefield."
