According to news agency Reuters, the separatist organization Baloch Liberation Army, which took credit for the kidnapping of a Pakistani train in Balochistan, said it had escaped with 214 hostages and killed them.
A spokesperson for the BLA, Jeeyand Baloch, issued a statement, saying they had given Pakistani forces a 48-hour ultimatum, which they did not heed, resulting in the death of 214 hostages.
"The last opportunity for the occupying army to spare the lives of its soldiers came when the Balochistan Liberation Army gave the Pakistani army a 48-hour ultimatum to exchange prisoners of war. But Pakistan, in keeping with its long-standing military haughtiness and stubbornness, not only shied away from meaningful talks but also ignored the situation on the ground. The statement asserted that all 214 captives had been put to death as a result of this stubbornness.
