Russia says Zelensky 'obsessed with continuing war', calls US visit 'complete failure'

A "complete failure" was how Russia described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's trip to Washington on Saturday, accusing him of being "obsessed with continuing the war" in the area. According to a statement from the Russian foreign ministry, "the visit of the head of the neo-Nazi regime, V Zelensky, to Washington on February 28 is a complete political and diplomatic failure of the Kyiv regime," Maria Zakharova said.
Following Zelensky's visit to Washington, she stated that Russia's objectives in Ukraine had not altered. The foreign ministry spokesperson told Reuters that "Russia's unchanging goals remain the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as well as the recognition of the existing realities on the ground."
Russia's comments were made the day after Zelensky left the White House following an incredibly intense public confrontation with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
