US President-elect to end birth right citizenship, deny asylum access, say reports

Republican leader Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. His inauguration ceremony will take place inside the rotunda of the US Capitol building at 12:00 pm ET (10:30 pm IST).

Who is expected at the ceremony: At the event, external affairs minister S Jaishankar will be the Indian representative. Other global guests, Chinese vice president, Japan and Australia's foreign affairs ministers.

Additionally, all the living former presidents of the US, Bill Clinton, George W Bush and Barack Obama will be in attendance at the swearing-in ceremony.
