A man from Bengaluru was detained for snatching women's underwear from balconies: Report

According to the reports, a 25-year-old engineering graduate has been taken into custody by Bengaluru Police on suspicion of stealing women's underwear from homes in his neighborhood. The defendant, who goes by Sharath, lives in IV Cross, SIT, Tumakuru.

The study stated that the frequent disappearance of their underwear from their balconies had caused anxiety for female students who lived in rented housing. They told their building owner they were worried about the incidents, and the owner then called the New Extension police on Friday.

Police found that Sharath had been halting his two-wheeler close to the students' house and taking the clothes after breaking into their balconies after watching CCTV footage. He acknowledged under questioning that he had committed similar crimes in the Ashoknagar, SS Puram, and SIT areas. His actions may have been inspired by his internet addiction to viewing pornographic content, according to authorities.
