Tejasvi Surya, the MP for Bengaluru South, married Carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad on Thursday in a private ceremony that was mostly hidden from the public. The wedding signaled the start of a new chapter in the two-time lawmaker's life and was attended by close family members and a small number of political associates.

On social media, a number of prominent figures posted snippets of the occasion and sent their best wishes to the newlyweds.
