After killing his wife in a fit of rage, a 36-year-old Bengaluru techie is accused of spending the whole night sitting close to her body and conversing with it. Just before he could turn himself in, Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar, the accused, was apprehended by police on Thursday night outside of Pune.

Gauri Khedekar's body was discovered in Bengaluru on Thursday, packed inside a suitcase and bearing serious injuries. After stabbing his wife, Gouri Anil Sambrekar (32), Khedekar admitted to the publication that he stayed by her body all night asking her about their arguments, her anger over their relocation to Bengaluru, and her difficulty finding employment.

Khedekar, a native of Maharashtra, moved to Bengaluru a month ago to work from home at Hitachi Systems India as a senior project coordinator. Before moving in with him, Gouri had abandoned her job, and she was having trouble finding a job in the city. Khedekar confessed that his wife wanted to go back to Maharashtra and blamed him for her unemployment, which resulted in regular conflicts.
