Cash row: Justice Yashwant Varma excluded from Delhi high court's administrative panels

By : Sandhya
The Delhi High Court's newly established administrative committees do not include Justice Yashwant Varma. This development occurs as Justice Varma fights the claim that after a fire on March 14, a massive cash pile was found at his official residence in New Delhi. A letter dated March 27 that was posted on the high court's website states that the committees were instantly reorganized as of March 26.
Aside from Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, the 66 recreated committees include the Grievance Redressal Committee for Advocates, Administrative and General Supervision, Finance, and Budgeting for the approval of contingent expenditures and the write-off of losses over ₹5 lakh. The Delhi High Court's second-most senior judge, Justice Varma, was not listed on any of the committees.
He served on a number of committees in the past. The Supreme Court ordered that Justice Varma's work be withdrawn in the wake of the cash discovery dispute. The various committees are made up of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and all other high court judges.
