CBI arrests chief engineer of Puducherry govt’s PWD dept, two others for bribery

Three suspects were detained by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday for bribery, including two engineers employed by the Puducherry government's Public Works Department (PWD).

Those arrested include a private contractor with PWD as well as the Chief Engineer and Executive Engineer of the PWD department.

After paying the ₹2 lakh half bribe, they were detained right away. According to ANI, ₹73 lakh in cash was found during the searches.
