Close shave for Rakesh Tikait as car collides with nilgai in UP's Muzaffarnagar

In the Muzaffarnagar region of Uttar Pradesh, Rakesh Tikait, a farmer activist and national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Kisan Union, narrowly avoided death on Saturday when a nilgai struck the front end of his car, according to officials quoted by news agency PTI.

Rakesh Tikait claims that the collision happened in the Muzaffarnagar area, close to the Meerpur bypass route. Even though the BKU commander was unharmed, a nilgai unexpectedly came on the road and struck his vehicle.

On getting information, Uttar Pradesh minister Kapil Dev Agarwal and Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha MP Harendra Singh Malik visited Tikait's residence to check on the farmer leader.
