Delhi law and order review: Amit Shah issues an order for a "ruthless" crackdown on illegal immigrants and interstate gangs

On Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah ordered security authorities to employ a "ruthless approach" in order to "eliminate interstate gangs" operating in the nation's capital, stating that this should be the top priority for Delhi Police.
At a high-level security assessment meeting in Delhi, the Center issued the directive. Senior law enforcement officials, Ashish Sood, the Delhi Commissioner of Police, and Rekha Gupta, the recently elected Delhi Chief Minister, attended the meeting. The Union home minister advised Delhi police officers to take a tough stance against these criminal networks during the review.
"Action must be taken with top to bottom and bottom to top approach in narcotics cases, and such drug networks should be dismantled," he stated. As a matter of national security, Amit Shah also ordered the Delhi Police to take tough measures against the networks that facilitate the entry of Rohingya and illegal Bangladeshis into India.
