The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a closure report in the Mumbai court regarding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, who was found dead on June 14, 2020.
The CBI took over the case in August 2020. The closure report addresses allegations made by both Sushant's father against Rhea Chakraborty (Sushant's ex-girlfriend) and by Rhea against Sushant's family.
Sources indicate that Rhea Chakraborty and her family have been given a clean chit, with the CBI reportedly finding no evidence that anyone forced Sushant to commit suicide.
Sushant's family retains the option to file a protest petition. The investigation involved AIIMS experts who ruled out foul play.
Social media chats between Rhea and Sushant were examined and found to be untampered. Rhea Chakraborty had previously requested an investigation into the case
