Delhi, according to a report released on Wednesday, some of the cities in India that are most at risk from future heat waves prioritize short-term fixes while long-term solutions are still uncommon.

Nine major Indian cities

—Bengaluru, Delhi, Faridabad, Gwalior, Kota, Ludhiana, Meerut, Mumbai, and Surat—are being prepared for the growing threat of excessive heat, according to a study conducted by the Sustainable Futures Collaborative, a research organization with its headquarters in New Delhi.
