MP: A security guard shoots and injures a coworker while on duty while sleeping.

A security guard assigned to an Indore jewelry business was taken into custody after he allegedly shot and wounded his coworker after the latter took a picture of him while he was asleep. Pramod Pandey, 56, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting at the jewelry store in the city's Bhanwarkuan neighborhood.

According to Anand Yadav, the deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Pandey was asleep outside the store on Saturday night while on duty when Sanjay Jagtap, a 49-year-old salesman, took a picture of him and shared it on an employee WhatsApp group.

This infuriated the accused, who got into a furious confrontation with Jagtap on Sunday night and then shot him with his legally owned 12-bore firearm. The senior police officer was cited by PTI as adding, "The victim was injured by the bullet fragments on his hand and other parts of his body."
