India on Tuesday reaffirmed its strong stance on the Jammu and Kashmir issue asking Pakistan to vacate the Indian territory that it illegally occupies. In response to questions from the media over Pakistan's recent "Kashmir comment," Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that the "biggest roadblock" to regional peace and security is the neighboring nation's encouragement of cross-border terrorism.
The world is aware that Pakistan's aggressive support and encouragement of cross-border terrorism is the true problem. This is actually the largest obstacle to regional peace and stability. Pakistan should stop propagating false information and stop occupying Indian land by force and illegitimate means, the MEA spokeswoman stated.
In a recent interview with well-known American podcaster Lex Fridman, Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed India's attempts to strengthen ties with Pakistan, including inviting Nawaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan at the time, to his oath-taking ceremony.
