Parliament Budget Session 2025 live: External affairs minister Jaishankar to speak on deportations by US in RS today

External affairs minister S Jaishankar is scheduled to make a statement in the Rajya Sabha today regarding the deportation of Indian nationals allegedly living illegally in the US. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla urged Opposition MPs to avoid "planned disruptions" that would hinder the smooth functioning of the House.
"Your matter is with the government. This is a matter of the Ministry of External Affairs. This subject is related to another country. The Government has taken cognisance of it. I request you not to resort to planned disruptions to prevent the smooth functioning of the House. Question Hour is an important session where members put forward the problems of the citizens, and the government answers it," the Lok Sabha Speaker said.
