Live 2025 parliamentary budget session: As the second phase of the budget session gets underway, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha both met again today. A number of bills and standing committee reports are scheduled for presentation in accordance with the Lok Sabha's agenda. The session is scheduled to end on April 4. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her seventh consecutive budget on February 1.

Following the presentation of the JPC report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill to Parliament, both Houses were adjourned till March 10. They also finished debating the Union Budget, with Sitharaman leading the deliberations.

Both Houses were presented with the JPC report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024. The report was submitted in the Rajya Sabha by party MP Medha Vishram Kulkarni, while it was tabled in the Lok Sabha by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, who is also the head of the JPC. Additionally, a record of the panel's evidence was filed.
