Saira Banu asks that she not be referred to as AR Rahman's "ex-wife" upon his discharge: "Our divorce is not final."

Due to dehydration, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman was hospitalized to Chennai's Apollo Hospital. He underwent a comprehensive examination and was released.

Soon after, Rahman's estranged wife, Saira Banu, sent a message via her attorney wishing him a swift recovery.

It was accompanied by an audio note. Banu also asked not to be called Rahman's "ex-wife" because they haven't formally divorced yet.

Saira Banu posted a voice message on Rahman's health on Sunday, March 16. After saying "salaam," she said, "Assalamualaikum." I hope he gets well soon.

With the grace of Allah, he is presently doing well after undergoing angiography for chest trouble, I was informed.
