The labyrinthine investigation into a massive ₹252 Crore Mephedrone (MD) drug manufacturing and trafficking network has tightened its grip on the Bollywood social circuit. After a brief delay, influencer and prominent Bollywood socialite Orhan Awatramani, famously known as Orry, finally presented himself before the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) to record his statement. This appearance is a significant step in one of Maharashtra most substantial drug seizure cases, sending ripples of anxiety across the film and fashion fraternities.

Orry’s name first emerged in this high-stakes probe following the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, an alleged drug trafficker known by the moniker ‘Lavish’ due to his flamboyant lifestyle. Shaikh was recently deported from Dubai and is a key accused linked to a much larger drug syndicate allegedly run by fugitive gangster Salim Dola. During his questioning, Shaikh made explosive claims to the ANC, alleging that he organized lavish, drug-fueled rave parties in both Mumbai and Dubai.

Crucially, the accused explicitly named several high-profile individuals, including actors, producers, a politician, and even a relative of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim, as being present at these parties. The appearance of Orry, who is often photographed with the industry’s most recognizable young faces, is therefore a procedural necessity aimed at corroborating or refuting these serious allegations. Police sources have been cautious to emphasize that a summons does not imply guilt; the questioning is focused on verifying the intricate web of connections sketched out by the arrested trafficker.
