INDIA bloc unveils “Tejashwi Pratigya Pran” manifesto in Patna; Tejashwi Yadav named CM face, alliance seat sharing finalised as Bihar polls set for Nov 6 & 11.

Tejashwi Yadav Declared Chief Ministerial Candidate for Bihar Polls
The INDIA bloc on Tuesday launched its Bihar poll manifesto — titled “Tejashwi Pratigya Pran” — at a high-profile event in Patna, signalling a coordinated election push by RJD, Congress and allies as the state heads to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11. The launch was attended by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Congress leaders including Pawan Khera, CPI(ML) Liberation’s Dipankar Bhattacharya and allied party figures who jointly presented the alliance’s platform and electoral strategy.
The INDIA bloc has named Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial candidate while the Vikassheel Insaan Party’s Mukesh Sahani is projected as the deputy chief ministerial face — moves intended to project both leadership clarity and caste-coalition balance across contested regions. The manifesto launch also came amid visible seat negotiations: the current arrangement lists RJD contesting 143 seats, Congress 61, VIP 15, three Left parties 33 and the Indian Inclusive Party 1 — together amounting to 253 candidates for 243 seats, reflecting lingering “friendly contests” in about 10 constituencies.
Alliance leaders emphasised unity and a development agenda aimed at dislodging the incumbent government led by Nitish Kumar after four consecutive terms. Yet the bloc’s public messaging acknowledged internal friction, with Tejashwi telling reporters that differences are being resolved and allies remain united in purpose.
