New Delhi election result LIVE: Parvesh Verma claims win against Arvind Kejriwal

AAP national convenor and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal continues to trail BJP's Parvesh Verma after the 12th round of counting, with Kejriwal securing 24,449 votes while Verma leads with 28,238 votes, marking a difference of over 3,000 votes. With just one round of counting left, it appears that the BJP is on track to secure the seat in the New Delhi constituency. Meanwhile, Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit, the son of former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, has garnered only 4,217 votes so far.

Meanwhile, BJP is leading in 45 out of 70 assembly constituencies, while AAP is ahead in 21. Congress has yet to secure a lead in any seat. The majority mark to form a government in Delhi is 36 seats.
