The Congress supports Nitish Kumar when a Muslim organization in Bihar declares a boycott of his Iftaar due to the Waqf Bill.

A prominent Muslim organization in Bihar, Imarat-e-Shariah, announced a boycott of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Iftaar event to protest his support for the Waqf Bill.
Congress leaders in Bihar, while against the Waqf Bill's current form, cautioned against mixing politics and festivities, suggesting the decision to attend the Iftaar should be individual.
Despite the boycott announcement, numerous Muslim leaders still attended the Iftaar.
Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) party called the boycott announcement "uncalled for". The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supported the boycott.
Imarat-e-Shariah, founded in 1921, is a significant Islamic organization in Bihar that focuses on Islamic jurisprudence.
