The controversy stems not from any recent political statement by the star, but from a seemingly innocuous gesture: a viral video showing Dosanjh touching the feet of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan during an appearance on a television show.
The pro-Khalistan group, Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), led by the banned individual Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, issued a direct threat to disrupt Dosanjh’s performance, particularly the November 1 show in Sydney. The SFJ publicly condemned the gesture, claiming that by paying respect to Bachchan, the singer had “insulted every victim, widow, and orphan of the 1984 Sikh Genocide.” The group specifically referenced Bachchan’s alleged role in “inciting mobs” during the anti-Sikh violence of that year, a claim the actor has previously denied. This connection to the Amitabh Bachchan link has suddenly placed Dosanjh’s Australia concert at the center of a volatile political and historical dispute.
