Joao Pedro guides Chelsea past Fluminense into Club World Cup final

Joao Pedro scored twice against his former club Fluminense to send Chelsea into the FIFA Club World Cup final with a confident 2-0 victory at MetLife Stadium on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old Brazilian, who joined Chelsea from Brighton just six days ago for £55 million, made an immediate impact on his full debut. Starting in place of the suspended Liam Delap, Pedro struck in the 18th minute with a precise low shot from the edge of the box.

He added a second goal early in the second half, capping off a sharp passing move with a perfectly timed run and finish. The win sets up a final clash on Sunday against either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.
