‘Moral responsibility to provide clean environment to children’: President Murmu
Delhi, New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu stated on Saturday that it is the moral obligation of individuals to ensure a clean environment for future generations. He also emphasized that citizens should consider the type of air their children are breathing, the water they are drinking, and whether they have the opportunity to experience nature. She was opening the National Green Tribunal's two-day National Conference on "Environment – 2025."
According to Murmu, these subjects have scientific, social, and economic components, but the most crucial element is that the difficulties associated with each of these subjects also have a moral component. It is our ethical obligation to leave future generations with a clean environment.
We must achieve this by living a sensitive and ecologically aware lifestyle, which will not only conserve the environment but also improve it and make it more lively. "There are opportunities and challenges in striking a balance between modern development and a clean environment," she remarked.
