Rahul Gandhi claims banking sector in crisis due to BJP's 'cronyism': ‘Juniors endure stress, toxic environment’

Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, claimed on Saturday that the banking industry in India is in crisis due to the "cronyism" and "regulatory mismanagement" of the BJP government, forcing subordinate staff to "endure stress and toxic work conditions."

Gandhi claimed that the Congress would fight for these working-class professionals and put a stop to "workplace harassment and exploitation" after sharing a video of his meeting with a delegation from an ex-ICICI bank that had suffered because of "mismanagement" in a post on X. Additionally, he encouraged those who had experienced comparable "injustice" to write to him.

Additionally, he charged that the BJP government, led by Narendra Modi, had written off ₹16 lakh crore for its "billionaire friends." Gandhi claimed that thousands of honorable working professionals are impacted by the "economic mismanagement" of the Central government.
