IIM Ahmedabad signs MoU with UAE to set up first international campus in Dubai
An agreement was struck on Wednesday by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) to open a branch campus in Dubai in the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC) and to start offering a full-time, one-year master's degree in business administration (MBA) in September 2025.
In Mumbai on Tuesday, IIMA director Bharat Bhasker and Helal Saeed Almarri, director general of Dubai's department of economy and tourism, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the creation of the IIMA Dubai campus. Piyush Goyal, the minister of trade and industry, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, who is making his first formal trip to India as the crown prince, were present when the Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
The IIMA Dubai campus's MBA program aims to meet the advanced management education and upskilling requirements of entrepreneurs and working professionals worldwide.
