New Aadhaar App Launched: Face ID Authentication, Physical Copies Not Needed
Delhi, New Delhi: The Center on Tuesday unveiled a new Aadhaar app that enables users to exchange and validate their Aadhaar details online, doing away with the need to carry physical cards or turn in photocopies, marking a significant advancement in digital convenience and privacy. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Electronics and IT, formally unveiled the app in the nation's capital.
The minister emphasized the value of digital innovation and said the app was an attempt to make Aadhaar authentication quicker, simpler, and more secure. "Face ID authentication through a mobile app, the new Aadhaar app." In a video message shared on social media site X, Vaishnaw stated, "No physical card, no photocopies."
He went on to say that the app gives users the ability to securely communicate only the information that is required, and only with their permission. He claimed that consumers now have total control over their personal information and can share only the information that is required with a single swipe. Face ID identification is one of the app's most notable features; it improves security and streamlines verification.
